6.1.b RGPD).
Datos biométricos (selfie y cotejo facial): tu consentimiento explícito (arts. 6.1.a y 9.2.a RGPD).
This is an English translation for information purposes. In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
This is the additional information (second layer) about how we process your data when we verify your identity before you sign the room rental agreement. It supplements the basic information shown on the verification page and our general privacy policy.
1. Controller and Data Protection Officer
Praga AG Brand S.L. (Tax ID B55411359), Velázquez 27, 1-Derecha, 28001 Madrid (Spain).
Data Protection Officer: Azrael García — delegado@pragainversiones.com.
For questions about the verification and to exercise your rights you may also write to madrid@habitacionenmadrid.com.
2. Data we process
- Data from your identity document: first name and surname, document number, nationality, date of birth, issuing country, and issue and expiry dates.
- Images of the front and back of the document.
- If you choose online verification: a selfie with liveness detection (3D Flash), biometric data derived from your face and from the portrait on the document, and the result and score of the face match.
- Technical session data (device, browser and IP address), used only to detect fraud.
- During the liveness check, Didit records a short video of your face to confirm that you are a real person. Praga neither receives nor keeps that video: Didit deletes it when the session is deleted and, in any case, within one month at most.
3. Purposes
a) To check your identity and the authenticity of your document before entering into the room rental agreement.
b) To prevent identity theft and document fraud.
c) To keep evidence of the verification so that it can be proven in the event of a claim.
We do not use your data for any other purpose or build marketing profiles.
4. Legal basis
Document data and images: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Biometric data (selfie and face match): your explicit consent (Arts. 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a) GDPR).
Keeping the document and the verification result after the contract (and, if you do not sign, the result and the record of your consent): Praga’s legitimate interest in establishing, exercising or defending legal claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object by writing to us; we will only keep them if we need them for a legal claim. The selfie is not kept for more than 30 days.
5. Automated decision and human intervention
Didit automatically analyses the document, the liveness check and the face match, and returns a result: approved, under review or declined.
If “approved”, you can proceed to sign the agreement.
If “under review” or “declined”, a member of Praga’s staff reviews the case before any decision is made. We never refuse an agreement based solely on the automated result.
In any case, you have the right to obtain human intervention, to express your point of view and to contest the decision (Art. 22(3) GDPR) by writing to madrid@habitacionenmadrid.com.
6. Recipients and processors
Didit Identity Spain, S.L. (Tax ID B22929327), Calle Nápoles 227, 1st floor, 08013 Barcelona, which carries out the verification as a processor under a contract compliant with Art. 28 GDPR.
Praga’s technology providers hosting the CRM (Cloudflare) and the document archive (Microsoft 365), also acting as processors.
We do not disclose your data to third parties, except where required by law (for example, to courts or public authorities).
Didit may also process verification data, to a limited extent and as an independent controller, for platform security, abuse prevention, auditing, legal compliance and the defence of legal claims, as described in its privacy policy (didit.me/terms/privacy-policy). Praga has disabled the use of your data by Didit to train its models.
7. International transfers
Didit processes and stores verifications in the European Union by default. Some providers (Didit, Cloudflare and Microsoft) belong to groups headquartered in the United States. Any transfer outside the European Economic Area would be covered by a European Commission adequacy decision or by the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission in 2021.
8. Retention period
- At Didit: only for as long as strictly necessary to deliver the result to us; once we have archived it, Praga has the session deleted, and in no case is it kept for more than one month (including the liveness video).
- Selfie and biometric data: automatically deleted 30 days after the verification. If you withdraw your consent earlier, we delete them at that moment.
- Identity document and verification result, if you sign the agreement: kept for the term of the agreement. When it ends, they are blocked —they may only be accessed to handle legal claims or requests from courts or authorities— and destroyed six years after the agreement ends.
- If you do not sign: the images of your document are deleted 90 days after the verification. The verification result and the record of your consent are blocked at that point and destroyed three years after the verification.
9. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, withdraw your consent and request human intervention by writing to madrid@habitacionenmadrid.com with the subject “Data protection”. We will reply within one month.
Before lodging a complaint, you may contact our Data Protection Officer (delegado@pragainversiones.com), who will reply within two months at most (Art. 37 of Spanish Organic Law 3/2018). You may also lodge a complaint directly with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
10. Is it mandatory?
Verifying your identity is a requirement for signing the rental agreement. You can do it online (with a selfie and your consent) or in person. If you use neither option, we will not be able to enter into the agreement.
11. Security
Data are transmitted and stored encrypted by Didit. At Praga, they are kept in a private document site with access restricted to authorised staff.
